It's not the first time there's been a cold snap in Florida. Over the years there have been harsh winter freezes in our area that have destroyed the orange crops and made life really cold for those of us used to much warmer climes!
But what is causing this cold snap...I thought we were in the middle of global warming trend?!
But recently this air flow is getting shifted into a zig-zag pattern. So if where you live has air flow coming from the south, you'll experience warmer temperatures, but if it is coming from the north on this zig-zag, it's REALLY cold!
So, what about global warming? Scientists say that this cold snap is just a normal trend, and that 2009 was overall the warmest year on Earth since 1880.
