The Bureau of Labor Statistics announced today that prices have essentially 'stayed the same' here in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami metro area this past year. Nationwide the annual rate of inflation was .1%, the lowest since 1954.
The South Florida inflation rate continued to increase but locall it remained the same. It is felt this is due to the drop in transportation and fuel cost, along with clothing costs. Whether this drop in costs continues remains to be seen.
